Gulliver Martin
The HumansGulliver Martin is Isobel Martin and the original Andrew Martin’s son, a young person living under the pressure of a famous father’s legacy and a family life marked by absence and tension. His encounters with the Alien narrator move from wary distance to painful honesty and, finally, active resistance to Jonathan Roper. Through Gulliver, the narrator’s abstract recognition of human vulnerability becomes a personal bond: he sees Gulliver as a person, intervenes in his suicidal crisis, and ultimately confesses the truth about his father and his own mission.
